And God said: Truly, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I have established My covenant with him for a perpetual covenant, with his seed after him.

And God said to Abraham, Do not let your eyes quiver because of the lad or because of your maidservant. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your Seed shall be called.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

In this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
