And He said, Do not lay your hand upon the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only one from Me.

and said: By Myself I have sworn, says Jehovah, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only one;

And the Angel of Jehovah found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.

And the Angel of Jehovah said to her, Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.

And the Angel of Jehovah said unto her, I will multiply your seed exceedingly, so that they shall not be numbered for multitude.

And God heard the voice of the lad. And the Angel of God called to Hagar out of the heavens, and said to her, What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

And it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham! And he said, Here am I.

And when Jehovah saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, Moses! Moses! And he said, Here am I.

And Jehovah came and stood and called as at other times, Samuel! Samuel! And Samuel answered, Speak, for Your servant is listening.

And he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?

And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew dialect, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.
