And Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the souls of his house, his cattle and all his animals, and all his possessions which he had gained in the land of Canaan, and went to a land away from the presence of his brother Jacob.

For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together, and the land where they were sojourners could not support them because of their livestock.

He who loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he who loves abundance, with gain. This also is vanity.

When the goods increase, those who eat it increase; what profit is it, then, to its owners, except to see it with their eyes?

And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, since I have nowhere to gather my fruits?

So he said, I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger, and there I will gather all my fruits and my goods.

But those who purpose to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which plunge people into ruin and destruction.
