You are of the devil as your father, and the lusts of your father you purpose to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Let it not be! Otherwise, how will God judge the world?

And why not say (as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil that good may come? Their condemnation is just.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience;

And of whom have you been afraid or feared, that you have lied and have not remembered Me, nor laid it to your heart? Have I not been silent, even for a long time, and you did not fear Me?

Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, You also were with Jesus of Galilee.

And when he had gone out to the porch, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.

And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.

for before certain men came from Jacob, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.

And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

Blessed is he who has the Mighty God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,

Thus says Jehovah, Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart departs from Jehovah.

Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah, and Jehovah is his refuge.

Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; the soul who sins shall die.
