And the children of Israel did evil before the Lord, and served Baalam.

And they provoked the Lord, and forsook Him, and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.

And the children of Israel said to the Lord, We have sinned: do unto us according to all that is good in Your eyes; only deliver us this day.
