And the servants who had been before with the Philistines, who had gone up to the army, turned themselves also to be with the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan.

And [some] came to David from Manasseh, when the Philistines came against Saul to war. And he helped them not, because the captains of the Philistines took counsel, saying, With the heads of those men will he return to his master Saul.

So the master praised the unrighteous manager because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this age are shrewder in their own generation than the sons of light.
