And his terror is in his ears: just when he seems to be at peace, his overthrow will come.

Let pains destroy him round about, and let many [enemies] come about him,

They saw, and so they wondered; they were troubled, they were moved.

Trembling took hold of them; there were the pangs as of a woman in travail.

How have they become desolate! Suddenly they have failed; they have perished because of their iniquity.

The ungodly is engulfed in destruction, but the desire of the righteous is acceptable.

But the unrighteous shall be tossed as troubled waves, and shall not be able to rest.

There is no peace, says God, for the wicked.

Then the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his hips were loosed, and his knees knocked one another.
