And David said to his men, Gird on every man his sword. And they went up after David, about four hundred men. And two hundred stayed with the supplies.

And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He said to him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them, and you shall surely rescue the [captives].

And he gave it to him. And David arose, and fled in that day from the presence of Saul. And David came to Achish king of Gath.

And Shimei rose up, and saddled his donkey, and went to Gath, to Achish, to seek out his servants. And Shimei went, and brought his servants out of Gath.
