And come, let us reason together, says the Lord; and though your sins be as purple, I will make them white as snow; and though they be as scarlet, I will make [them] white as wool.

And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and [every] man of Judah, judge between Me and My vineyard.

What shall I do anymore to My vineyard, that I have not done to it? Whereas I expected [it] to bring forth grapes, but it has brought forth thorns.

Yet you have said, The way of the Lord is not straight. Hear now, all the house of Israel: will not My way be straight? Is your way straight?

And when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and shall do judgment and justice, he has kept his soul,

Yet the house of Israel says, The way of the Lord is not right. Is not My way right, O house of Israel? Is not your way wrong?

Hear, O you mountains, the controversy of the Lord, and you valleys; even the foundations of the earth: for the Lord has a controversy with His people, and will plead with Israel.

O My people, what have I done to you? Or wherein have I grieved you? Or wherein have I troubled you? Answer Me.

interpreting and pointing out that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to arise from the dead, and [saying] that "This is the Christ, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you."

[you that are delivered] from the noise of disturbers among those that draw water; there shall they relate righteous acts: O Lord, increase righteous acts in Israel. Then the people of the Lord went down to the cities.
