(Oh that I had a hearer!) And if I had not feared the hand of the Lord; and as to the written charge which I had against anyone,

And it came to pass after the Lord had spoken all these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, You have sinned, and your two friends, for you have not said anything true before Me, as My servant Job has.

And David said to Abishai, Do not lay him low, for who shall lift up his hand against the Lord's anointed and be guiltless?

Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" And having said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, "I find no fault in Him.

And there came to be a great outcry, and the scribes of the Pharisees' party stood up and contended sharply, saying, "We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God."

And in this I myself am engaging, having a conscience blameless toward God and men through everything.

Or let these themselves say what wrong they found in me, when I stood before the council,

For I am conscious of nothing, but I have not been justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that we have conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and especially toward you.

And if the thing stolen is left and is in his hand alive, whether ox or sheep, he shall restore them twofold.

You has tested my heart; You have visited [me] in the night; You have tried me as with fire, and unrighteousness has not been found in me; [I am purposed] that my mouth shall not speak [amiss.]
