And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven, and the Lord sent thunder and hail; and the fire ran along upon the ground, and the Lord rained hail on all the land of Egypt.

And the hail struck both man and beast in all the land of Egypt, and the hail struck all the grass in the field, and the hail broke in pieces all the trees in the field.

And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.

These [men] have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls [during] the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they wish.

And Israel saw the mighty hand, the things which the Lord did to the Egyptians; and the people feared the Lord, and they believed God and Moses His servant.

So all the men of Judah and Benjamin assembled at Jerusalem within the three days. This [was] the ninth month. On the twentieth day of the month all the people sat down in the street of the house of the Lord, because of their alarm concerning the word, and because of the storm.

Then they believed His words, and celebrated His praise.

They made haste, they forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel.
