And Lot went out to them to the porch, and he shut the door after him,

and said to them, By no means, brethren, do not act so wickedly.

And I laid hold of my concubine, and divided her in pieces, and sent [the parts] into every coast of the inheritance of the children of Israel; for they have committed lewdness and abomination in Israel.

And the sons of Jacob came from the plain; and when they heard, the men were deeply pained, and it was very grievous to them, because [the man] had done a disgraceful thing in Israel, having lain with the daughter of Jacob, which ought not to be done.

And the man who shall be pointed out shall be burned with fire, and all that he has; because he has transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and has done wickedness in Israel.

And she said to him, No, my brother, do not humble me, for it ought not to be so done in Israel; do not do this disgraceful thing!
