And in those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

There they put with him into the tomb in which they buried him, the knives of stone with which he circumcised the children of Israel in Gilgal, when he brought them out of Egypt, as the Lord appointed them; and there they are to this day.

And it came to pass afterwards that Eleazar the high priest the son of Aaron died, and was buried in Gibeah of Phinehas his son, which he gave him in Mount Ephraim. In that day the children of Israel took the ark of God, and carried it about among them. And Phinehas exercised the priest's office in the place of Eleazar his father till he died, and he was buried in his own place Gibeah. But the children of Israel departed everyone to their place, and to their own city: and the children of Israel worshipped Astarte, and Astaroth, and the gods of the nations round about them; and the Lord delivered them into the hands of Eglom king of Moab, and he ruled over them eighteen years.

And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she also bore Tebah, Gaham, Thahash, and Maachah.

But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and he sent them away from his son Isaac, while he was yet living, to the country of the east.

And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom more than all his wives and all his concubines; for he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines. And he begot twenty-eight sons, and sixty daughters.

She enters in the evening, and in the morning she departs to the second women's apartment, where Hegai the king's eunuch [is] keeper of the women. And she goes not in to the king again, unless she should be called by name.

[ 6:7] There are sixty queens, and eighty concubines, and maidens without number.

[ 6:8] My dove, my perfect one is one; she is the only one of her mother; she is the choice of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and the queens will pronounce her blessed, yes, and the concubines, and they will praise her.

So the gold and silver vessels were brought which [Nebuchadnezzar] had taken out of the temple of God in Jerusalem; and the king, and his nobles, and his mistresses, and his concubines drank out of them.

And did he not do well? And [there was] the residue of his spirit. But you said, What does God seek but a seed? But take heed to your own spirit, and forsake not the wife of your youth.

And the man departed from Bethlehem the city of Judah to sojourn in whatever place he might find. And he came as far as Mount Ephraim, and to the house of Micah to accomplish his journey.

So Rachel died, and was buried in the way of the course of Ephratha, (that is, Bethlehem.)

'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you shall come forth a Ruler who will shepherd My people Israel.'"
