"And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, 'These things says He that has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name, that you live, and you are dead.

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish [that] you were cold or hot.

"I know your works, and your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you tested those who say that they are apostles and they are not, and you found them [to be] liars;

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says the Holy [One], the True [One], " He who has the key of David, He that opens and no man shuts, except He that opens, and no man shall open."

For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there [are] many adversaries.

Now when I came to Troas for the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened to me by the Lord,

praying at the same time also for us, that God would open a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, because of which I am also in chains,

And when they are weak they shall be helped with a little help, but many shall attach themselves to them with treachery.

Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.

Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of testing which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those that dwell upon the earth.

Behold, I am coming swiftly! Blessed is he that keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him."

Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and we will make [Our] home with him.

Remember the word which I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You have given them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

"I know your works, and where you live, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith in the days in which Antipas was My faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan is dwelling.

lest I be filled and become false, and say, Who sees me? Or be poor and steal, and swear vainly by the name of God.

But he denied it before them all, saying, "I do not know what you are saying."

But again he denied with an oath, "I do not know the Man!"

But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his [own] house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Who is a liar but the [one] who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the [one] who denies the Father and the Son.

Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either.

For certain men have crept in unawares, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, changing the grace of our God into licentiousness and denying the only Master God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
