Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the rage of His wrath.

For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the wealth of her luxury."

Let his eyes see his own destruction, and let him not be saved by the Lord.

He shall rain upon sinners snares, fire, and brimstone, and a stormy blast [shall be] the portion of their cup.

You have shown Your people hard things; You have made us drink the wine of astonishment.

For [there is] a cup in the hand of the Lord, full of unmingled wine; and He has turned [it] from side to side, but its dregs have not been wholly poured out; all the sinners of the earth shall drink [them].

Faint, and be amazed, and be overpowered, not with strong drink, nor with wine.

Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that have drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of His fury; for you have drunk out and drained the cup of calamity, the cup of wrath;

Therefore hear, you afflicted one, and drunken, [but] not with wine;

thus says the Lord God that judges His people: Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of calamity, the cup of My wrath; and you shall not drink it anymore.

Thus said the Lord God of Israel: Take the cup of this unmixed wine from My hand, and you shall cause all the nations to drink, to whom I send you.

So I took the cup out of the Lord's hand, and caused the nations to whom the Lord sent me to drink:

The Lord recompenses, and will make her leaders and her wise men and her captains completely drunk, says the King, the Lord Almighty is His name.

Give back to her as also she gave back, and pay back double as also she [did], and according to her works. In her cup which she mixed, mix for her a double [portion].

Therefore shall my people return here, and full days shall be found with them.

Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that have drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of His fury; for you have drunk out and drained the cup of calamity, the cup of wrath;

For thus says the Lord: They who were not appointed to drink the cup have drunk; and you shall by no means be cleared.

CHSEN. Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwell in the land; yet the cup of the Lord shall pass through to you: you shall be drunken, and pour forth.

Drink also your fill of disgrace instead of glory: shake, O heart, and quake, the cup of the right hand of the Lord has come round upon you, and dishonor has gathered upon your glory.

But Jesus answered and said, "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup which I am about to drink, or to be baptized [with] the baptism that I am baptized with?" They said to Him, "We are able."

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will]."

And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who rode on them, having breastplates of fire, hyacinth, and brimstone; and the heads of the horses [were] like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire, and smoke, and brimstone.

By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed--from the fire and the smoke and the brimstone proceeding out of their mouths.

Then the Beast was apprehended, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the signs before him, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone where also the Beast and the False Prophet [are]. And they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and sinners, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and drug users, and idolaters, and all who are false shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

And the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven.

brimstone and burning salt, (the whole land shall not be sown, neither shall any green thing spring, nor rise upon it, as Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His wrath and anger)-

It shall dwell in his tabernacle in his night: his excellency shall be sown with brimstone.

He shall rain upon sinners snares, fire, and brimstone, and a stormy blast [shall be] the portion of their cup.

For you shall be required before [your] time; has it been prepared for you also to reign? No, God has [prepared for you] a deep trench, wood piled, fire and much wood; the wrath of the Lord [shall be] as a trench kindled with sulphur.

And her valleys shall be turned into pitch, and her land into sulphur; and her land shall be as pitch burning night and day;

"Then He will also say to those on the left, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to fornication and having gone after other flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you shall see [it].

And the righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say,

Only with your eyes shall you observe and see the reward of sinners.

And all flesh shall know that I the Lord have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity,

and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Thus it shall be at the end of the age: the angels shall go forth and separate the evil from among the righteous,

and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

These shall pay a penalty--eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might,
