But if it be perfectly formed, he shall give life for life,

burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

And the Gentiles shall take them, and bring them into their place; and they shall inherit them, and they shall be multiplied upon the land for servants and handmaidens; and they that took them captives shall become captives [to them]; and they that had lordship over them shall be under [their] rule.

Woe to those that afflict you; but no one makes you miserable; and he that deals treacherously with you does not deal treacherously; those that deal treacherously shall be taken and given up, and like a moth on a garment, so shall they be spoiled.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured [back] to you.

Because they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You gave them blood to drink. They deserve it."

For your lifeblood shall I require at the hand of all wild beasts, and I shall require a man's life at the hand of his fellow man.

He that sheds man's blood, instead of that blood shall his own be shed, for in the image of God I made man.

For behold, the Lord is bringing wrath from [His] holy place on those that dwell upon the earth; the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall not cover her slain.

But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword shall perish by the sword.

I, John, your brother and partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and endurance in Christ Jesus, came to be on the island that is called Patmos on account of the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

"I know your works, and your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you tested those who say that they are apostles and they are not, and you found them [to be] liars;

"I know your works, and love, and faith and service, and your endurance; and your last works [are] greater than the first.

Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and by no means shall you know what hour I will come upon you.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of testing which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those that dwell upon the earth.

Here is the endurance of the saints; those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

is good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation from the Lord.

For the vision is yet for a time, and it shall shoot forth at the end, and not in vain: though he should tarry, wait for him; for he will surely come, and will not tarry.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that one must always pray and not lose heart,

Now there was a widow in that city; and she kept coming to him, saying, 'Give justice to me against my adversary.'

yet because this widow bothers me I will give justice to her, lest she wear me out by forever coming to me.'"

And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them?

By your patient endurance you shall possess your souls.

being strengthened with all power, according to the might of His glory, for all endurance and longsuffering with joy;

lest you become dull, but [become] imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

For you have need of endurance, so that having done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

"For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not delay.

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and discouraged in your souls.

You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed, struggling against sin.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various trials,

But let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer awaits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it, until it receives the early and late rain.

You also be patient. Establish your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.
