And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.

For false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

See, I have told you in advance.

And Jesus, answering them, began to say: "Take heed lest anyone deceive you.

For many will come in My name, saying, 'I AM,' and they will deceive many.

But take heed to yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be flogged in the synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.

But you take heed! See, I have foretold to you all things.

And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am [He],' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.

looking diligently lest anyone fall from the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness growing up cause trouble, and through this many be defiled;

I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no man may take your crown.

Have you suffered so many things in vain--If indeed [they] really [were] in vain?

I am afraid for you, lest somehow I have worked hard for you in vain.

in order that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as light bearers in the world,

holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

Nevertheless, to what we have attained, let us walk by the same rule, [being] of the same mind.

But remember the former days, in which after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle of sufferings,

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has a great recompense.

I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no man may take your crown.

And the wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and [some] of the many righteous as the stars forever and ever.

And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

If anyone's work which he has built remains, he shall receive a reward.

And last of all, as of [one] born out of due time, He appeared to me also.
