And Jacob lifted up his eyes and beheld, and lo, Esau his brother [was] coming, and four hundred men with him. And Jacob divided the children to Leah and to Rachel, and the two maidservants.

And Esau looked up and saw the women and the children, and said, What are these to you? And he said, The children with which God has mercifully blessed your servant.

And I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a ram standing in front of the Ulai; and he had two horns; and one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.

And I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, and his loins were girt with gold of Ophaz.

And the Lord said to Joshua, Behold, I deliver Jericho into your power, and its king, [and its] mighty men.

And he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men stood before him; and having seen them, he ran to meet them from the door of his tent, and bowed himself to the ground.

And Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him till the morning.

And He said to him, Let Me go, for the day has dawned; but he said, I will not let You go, except You bless me.

And He said to him, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name; for you have prevailed with God, and shall be mighty with men.

And Jacob called the name of that place Peniel; for, [he said], I have seen God face to face, and my life was preserved.

For My angel shall go as your leader, and shall bring you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Gergesites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I will destroy them.

And Manoah prayed to the Lord and said, I pray to You, O Lord my lord, [concerning] the Man of God whom You sent; let Him now come to us once more, and teach us what we shall do with the child about to be born.

And the Lord heard the voice of Manoah, and the Angel of God came yet again to the woman. And she sat in the field, and Manoah her husband was not with her.

And Manoah arose and followed his wife, and came to the Man, and said to Him, Are you the Man that spoke to the woman? And the Angel said, I [am].

And Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

And I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, and his loins were girt with gold of Ophaz.

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his labors he had power with God.

But the Lord God Almighty shall be his memorial.

I saw by night, and behold, a man mounted on a red horse, and he stood between the shady mountains; and behind him were red horses, and gray, and piebald, and white.

And while they looked intently into heaven, while He was going, behold, two men stood along side them in white apparel,

and in the midst of the seven lampstands [stood One] like [the] Son of Man, having been clothed in a [robe] reaching to [His] feet and having been girded across [His] chest with a golden belt.

And when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord standing opposite in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand, then the donkey turned aside out of the way, and went into the field. And [Balaam] struck the donkey with his staff to direct her in the way.

And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the Lord, standing between earth and heaven, and his sword was drawn in his hand, stretched out over Jerusalem. And David and the elders clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

And David said to God, [Was it] not I [that] gave orders to number the people? And I am the guilty one; I have greatly sinned; but these sheep, what have they done? O Lord God, let Your hand be upon me, and upon my father's house, and not on Your people for destruction, O Lord!

And the Lord spoke to the angel; and he put up the sword into its sheath.

And David could not go before it to inquire of God; for he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the Lord.

And David went out to meet them, and said to them, If you have come peaceably to me, let my heart be at peace with you; but if [you have come] to betray me to my enemies unfaithfully, [may] the God of your fathers look upon it, and bring judgment.

And the Spirit came upon Amasai, a captain of the thirty, and he said, Go, David, son of Jesse, you and your people. Peace, peace be to you, and peace to your helpers, for your God has helped you. And David received them, and made them captains of the forces.
