And these [are] the kings of the land, whom the children of Israel killed, and inherited their land beyond the Jordan from the east, from the valley of Arnon, to Mount Hermon, and all the land of the Arabah on the east.

And the priests that bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood on dry land in the midst of the Jordan; and all the children of Israel went through on dry land, until all the people had completely gone over the Jordan.

And when the kings of the Amorites on the other side of the Jordan, who were in the mountain country, and in the plain, and in all the coast of the great sea, and those who were near Lebanon, and the Hittites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites, heard [of it,]

from the mountain of Halak, and that which goes up to Seir, and as far as Baal Gad, and the plains of Lebanon, below Mount Hermon. And he took all their kings, and killed them.

And all the land of Gebalites of the Philistines, and all Lebanon eastward from Gilgal, under Mount Hermon as far as the entering in of Hamath;

And the Horites in the mountains of Seir, to the terebinth tree of El Paran, which is in the desert.

And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother to the land of Seir, to the country of Edom.

And Esau dwelt in Mount Seir; Esau is Edom.

And these are the sons of Seir, the Horite, who inhabited the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

Chief Dishon, Chief Ezer, and Chief Dishon. These are the chiefs of Horri, in their principalities in the land of Edom.

And we turned and departed into the wilderness, by the way of the Red Sea, as the Lord spoke to me, and we compassed Mount Seir many days.

And command the people, saying, You are going through the borders of your brethren the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they shall fear you, and dread you greatly.

Every spot on which you shall tread I will give it to you, as I said to Moses.

The wilderness and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, and as far as the extremity of the sea; your coasts shall be from the setting of the sun.

And Joshua took all the land, as the Lord commanded Moses; and Joshua gave them for an inheritance to Israel by division according to their tribes; and the land ceased from war.

And Joshua [was] old and very advanced in years; and the Lord said to Joshua, You are advanced in years, and there is much land left to inherit.

from the wilderness before Egypt, as far as the borders of Ekron on the left of the Canaanites; [the land] is reckoned to the five principalities of the Philistines, to the inhabitants of Gaza, and of Azotus, and of Ashkelon, and of Gath, and of Ekron, and to the Hivite;

And all the land of Gebalites of the Philistines, and all Lebanon eastward from Gilgal, under Mount Hermon as far as the entering in of Hamath;

And now divide this land by lot to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh.

from Aroer, which is on the bank of the Brook of Arnon, and the city in the midst of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba as far as Dibon.

and the region of Gilead, and the borders of the Geshirites and the Maachathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all the land of Bashan to Salcah.

But the children of Israel destroyed not the Geshurite and the Maachathite and the Canaanite; and the king of the Geshurite and the Maachathite dwelt among the children of Israel to this day.

And Moses gave the land to the tribe of Reuben according to their families.

to Heshbon, and all the cities in Misor, Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,

Kirjathaim, Sibmah, Zereth, Shahar in Mount Enab,

then the Lord shall cast out all these nations before you, and you shall inherit great nations stronger than yourselves.

Every place on which the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, and from the great river, the River Euphrates, even as far as the west sea shall be your coasts.
