And Amalek dwells in the land toward the south: and the Hittite and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite dwells in the hill country: and the Canaanite dwells by the sea, and by the River Jordan.

And the angel of the Lord stretched out His hand against Jerusalem to destroy it, and the Lord relented of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, [It is] enough now, withhold your hand. And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray for you to the Lord.

And the Philistines heard that all the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpah. And the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel, and the children of Israel heard, and they feared before the Philistines.

And Samuel summoned all the people before the Lord to Mizpah.

And King Asa charged all Judah without exception. And they took up the stones of Ramah and its timbers [with] which Baasha was building; and King Asa built with them upon the whole hill of Benjamin, and the watchtower.

And he came to Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and dwelt among his people that was left in the land.

And behold, I dwell in your presence at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who shall come against you. And gather grapes, and fruits, and oil, and put [them] into your vessels, and dwell in the cities which you have obtained possession of.

and all the Jews that were with him in Mizpah, and all the Chaldeans that were found there.
