The simple believes every word, but the sensible man considers his steps.

For He has given the law for a help, that they should not speak according to this word, concerning which there are no gifts to give for it.

Scrutinize yourselves as to whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless indeed you are reprobates?

looking diligently lest anyone fall from the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness growing up cause trouble, and through this many be defiled;

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting souls; the testimony of the Lord is faithful, instructing babes.

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, [and] justified altogether.

I ran the way of Your commandments, when You enlarged my heart.

I walked also at large; for I sought out Your commandments.

I have seen an end of all perfection; [but] Your commandment is very broad.

You have made me wiser than my enemies [in] Your commandment; for it is mine forever.

I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out Your commandments.

I have not departed from Your judgments; for You have instructed me.

I gain understanding by Your commandments; therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.

Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good.

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

But I see a different law in my members, waging war with the law of my mind, and capturing me by the law of sin which is in my members.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."

Therefore if the Son sets you free, you will be truly free.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again unto fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there is freedom.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Stand fast therefore in the freedom in which Christ has made us free, and do not be loaded down again with a yoke of bondage.

as free, yet not using freedom as a cover for wickedness, but as bondservants of God.

If you should fear the Lord, and serve Him, and listen to His voice, and not resist the mouth of the Lord, and you and your king that reigns over you should follow the Lord, [then well].

Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, truly you are My disciples.

"Just as the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and I abide in His love.

And they were continuing in the teaching of the apostles, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

And when the synagogue service was broken up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking [to them], persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Therefore, having obtained help from God, until this day I stand, witnessing both to common [people] and great [people], saying nothing except the things which both the prophets and Moses spoke of as being about to happen,

to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption--eternal life.

But to those who are contentious, and who disobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath,

Behold then the kindness and severity of God: upon those that fell, severity; but upon you, kindness, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also shall be cut off.

if indeed you continue in the faith, having been founded and firm and not drifting away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was proclaimed to all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Nevertheless she shall be saved through childbirth, if they remain in faith and love, and sanctification, with self-control.

Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

Therefore let that which you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.

Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this [one] is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of [man] he was.

For Your servant keeps to them; in the keeping of them [there is] great reward.

Blessed are they that keep judgment, and do righteousness at all times.

Blessed are they that search out His testimonies; they will diligently seek Him with the whole heart.

For they that work iniquity have not walked in His ways.

Everyone who comes to Me, and hears My words and does them, I will show you to whom he is like:

But he who hears and does not do is like a man building a house on the ground without a foundation, [against] which the stream burst upon; and immediately it fell. And the breaking of that house was great."

But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

So then, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

And I heard a voice out of heaven saying, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now [on],' "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them."

Blessed are those who do His commandments, so that their right shall be to the tree of life, and they may enter by the gates into the city.
