Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness,

And these [are] the last words of David. Faithful [is] David the son of Jesse, and faithful [is] the man whom the Lord has raised up to be the anointed of the God of Jacob, and beautiful [are] the psalms of Israel.

The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word [was] on my tongue.

He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him 'Lord,' saying:

For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet."'

Even David himself said in the Book of Psalms, 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand,

"Men, brothers, let [me] speak with boldness to you about the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

foreseeing [this], he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, "that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption."

And being in disagreement with one another, they went away after Paul had said one word: "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice,

while it is said: "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.

And it came to pass in the four hundred and fortieth year after the departure of the children of Israel out of Egypt, in the fourth year and second month of the reign of King Solomon over Israel, that the king commanded that they should take great [and] costly stones for the foundation of the house, and hewn stones. And the men of Solomon, and the men of Hiram hewed [the stones], and laid them [for a foundation]. In the fourth year he laid the foundation of the house of the Lord, in the month of Ziv, in the second month. In the eleventh year, in the eighth month, the house was completed according to all its plan, and according to all its arrangement.

And after these things, [for] about four hundred and fifty years, He gave [them] judges until [the time of] Samuel the prophet.

And removing him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom He also said bearing witness, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, [to be] a man in accordance with My [own] heart, who will do all My will.'
