You shall not injure your neighbor, neither shall you rob [him], neither shall the wages of your hireling remain with you until the morning.

And if your brother by you be lowered, and be sold to you, he shall not serve you with the servitude of a slave.

and he shall go out in the release, and his children with him; and he shall go to his family, he shall hasten back to his family.

You shall not oppress him with labor, and shall fear the Lord your God.

And if your brother [or sister], a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, are sold to you, he shall serve you six years, and in the seventh year you shall send him out free from you.

You shall give him provision for the way from your flock, and from your grain, and from your wine; as the Lord your God has blessed you, [so] you shall give to him.

You shall not unjustly withhold the wages of the poor and needy of your brothers, or of the strangers who are in your cities.

You shall pay him his wages the same day, the sun shall not go down upon it, because he is poor and he trusts in it; and he shall cry against you to the Lord, and it shall be sin to you.

And now our flesh [is] as the flesh of our brothers, our children [are] as their children. Yet behold, we are reducing our sons and our daughters to slavery, and some of our daughters are enslaved; and there is no power of our hands, for our fields and our vineyards [belong] to the nobles.

And my heart took counsel within me, and I contended against the nobles, and the princes, and I said to them, Should every man demand of his brother what you demand? And I appointed against them a great assembly,

And I said, The thing which you do is not good; you will not so walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the Gentiles our enemies.

Restore to them, I pray, as at this day, their fields, and their vineyards, and their olive yards, and their houses, and bring forth to them grain and wine and oil of the money.

And I shook out my garment, and said, So may God shake out every man who shall not keep to this word, from his house, and from his labors, he shall be even thus shaken out, as an outcast and empty. And all the congregation said, Amen, and they praised the Lord; and the people did this thing.

They have unrighteously laid wait in narrow places, and have not known the righteous way.

Who have cast forth the poor from the city and their own houses, and the soul of the children has groaned aloud.

And if I also despised the judgment of my servant or my handmaid, when they pleaded with me;

Were not they formed too, as I also was formed in the womb? Yea, we were formed in the same womb.

saying, Why have we fasted, and You did not see? [Why] have we afflicted our souls, and You did not know it? Nay, in the days of your fasts you find your pleasures, and all them that are under your power you wound.

I have not chosen this fast, nor [such] a day for a man to afflict his soul; although you should bend down your neck as a ring, and spread under you sackcloth and ashes, neither thus shall you call a fast acceptable.

Break your bread to the hungry, and lead the unsheltered poor to your house; if you see one naked, clothe [him], and you shall not disregard the relations of your own seed.

Then shall you cry, and God shall hearken to you; while you are yet speaking He will say, Behold, I am here. If you remove from you the band, and the stretching forth of the hands, and murmuring speech;

That every man should set his servant free, and every man his maidservant, the Hebrew man and Hebrew woman, that no one from Judah should be in bondage.

and gave them over to be male and female slaves.

Thus says the Lord: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying,

And this day they turned to do that which was right in My sight, to proclaim everyone the release of his neighbor; and they had made a covenant before Me, in the house which is called by My name.

Therefore thus said the Lord: You have not hearkened to Me, to proclaim a release everyone to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim a release to you, to the sword, and to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will give you up to dispersion [among] all the kingdoms of the earth.

And I will draw near to you in judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the witches, and against the adulteresses, and against them that swear falsely by My name, and against them that keep back the hireling's wages, and them that oppress the widow, and afflict orphans, and that wrest the judgment of the stranger, and do not fear Me, says the Lord Almighty.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who does not show mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Indeed, the wages of the laborers who reaped your fields, which were kept back by you, cry out, and the cries of the reapers have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

If you should see the oppression of the poor, and the wresting of judgment and of justice in the land, wonder not at the matter; for [there is] a high one to watch over him that is high, and high ones over them.

"But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brothers.

Do not call [anyone] on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

But if that evil servant should say in his heart, 'My master is delaying to come,'

the master of that servant will come on a day which he does not expect, and in an hour which he does not know,

He also said to His disciples: "There was a certain rich man who had a manager, and this [man] was accused to him as wasting his possessions.

"Then the manager said within himself, 'What shall I do? For my master is taking the management away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.

And having summoned each one of his master's debtors to him, he said to the first, 'How much do you owe my master?'

Then he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' So he said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' And he said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.'

And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by the mammon of unrighteousness, so that whenever you fail, they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.

Therefore if you were not faithful with the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you what is genuine?

No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, that he commanded those servants to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, so that he might know who gained what by trading.

knowing that whatever good thing anyone does, the same he shall receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

And masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil.

Because of this, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having accomplished all things, to stand.

and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, in the opening of my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, and elect, and faithful."

And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name having been written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
