although I also [am] having confidence in the flesh. If any other [person] thinks to have confidence in the flesh, I even more:

with respect to zeal, persecuting the church; with respect to righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

More than that I also consider all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

[so as] to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

And it came to pass when they brought them out, that they said, Save your own life by all means; look not round to that which is behind, nor stay in all the country round about, escape to the mountain, lest perhaps you be overtaken together with them.

And his wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

And the devil answered and said to the Lord, Skin for skin! All that a man has he will give as a ransom for his life.

A man's own wealth is the ransom of his life, but the poor does not endure threatening.

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure having been hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it, he went and sold everything he had, and bought that field."

who, when he found one very precious pearl, went and sold everything he had and bought it."

For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give [as] an exchange for his soul?

If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

So likewise, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

So the master praised the unrighteous manager because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this age are shrewder in their own generation than the sons of light.

In that day, [he] who shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back for the things [left] behind.

Whoever seeks to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life shall preserve it.

And because we were exceedingly tempest-tossed, the next day they lightened the ship.

And on the third day we threw off the equipment of the ship with our own hands.

And having eaten enough, they began lightening the ship and throwing out the wheat into the sea.

We [who are] Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by [the] faith of Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by [the] faith of Christ and not by [the] works of the law; because no flesh shall be justified by [the] works of the law.

Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

You have become estranged from Christ, you who are justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
