to keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and His statutes, all that I command you this day, that it may be well with you?

And suppose you are righteous, what will you give Him? Or what shall He receive from your hand?

Your ungodliness [may affect] a man such as you; or your righteousness a son of man.

Son, if you are wise for yourself, you shall also be wise for your neighbors; and if you should prove wicked, you alone will bear the evil. [ 9:12A] He that stays himself upon falsehoods, attempts to rule the winds, and the same will pursue birds in their fight: [ 9:12B] for he has forsaken the ways of his own vineyard, and he has caused the axles of his own cart to go astray; [ 9:12C] and he goes through a dry desert, and [a land] appointed to drought, and he gathers barrenness with his hands.

Woe to their soul, for they have devised an evil counsel against themselves, saying against themselves, Let us bind the just, for he is burdensome to us; therefore shall they eat the fruits of their works.

And I will give them another way, and another heart, to fear Me continually, and [that] for good to them and their children after them.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

So what fruit did you have then of which [things] you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

But now having been freed from sin, and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit [resulting] in sanctification, and the end, eternal life.

And now, O Israel, hear the statutes and judgments, [hear] all that I teach you this day to do, that you may live, and be multiplied, and that you may go in and inherit the land, which the Lord God of your fathers gives to you.

But you that kept close to the Lord your God are all alive this day.

You shall observe to do all the commands which I charge you today, that you may live and be multiplied, and enter in and inherit the land, which the Lord your God swore to your fathers.

And He afflicted you and straitened you with hunger, and fed you with manna, which your fathers knew not; that He might teach you that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God shall man live.

May the Lord preserve him and keep him alive, and bless him on the earth, and not deliver him into the hands of his enemy.

who quickens my soul in life, and does not allow my feet to be moved.

The fear of the Lord is the offspring of wisdom, wealth, glory, and life.

For Moses writes about the righteousness which [is] of the law, "That the man who does those things shall live by them."
