For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles--

And Jeremiah said, They shall in no wise deliver you up. Hear the word of the Lord which I speak to you; and it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.

Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, [which is] your intelligent service.

Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me.

Now then, we serve as ambassadors for Christ, as though God were appealing through us: we implore [you] on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

And working together [with Him], we also urge that you not receive the grace of God in vain.

Now I, Paul, myself appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who face to face [am] lowly among you, but when I am away am bold toward you.

Brothers, I beseech you, become as I am, because I also [am] as you [are]. You have not wronged me at all.

rather on account of love I appeal to you--being such a one as Paul, the elder, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ--

I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I begot in my bonds,

Beloved, I implore you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from the lusts of the flesh which war against the soul;

And now I ask you, lady, not as writing a new commandment to you, but one which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another.

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a fragrant aroma.

And Enoch was well-pleasing to God, and was not found, because God translated him.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, I am your God, be well-pleasing before Me, and be blameless.

Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified, and going in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, were multiplying.

Only conduct yourselves worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,

Be fellow imitators of me, brothers, and look out for those walking this way, just as you have us for a pattern.

For many walk, of whom often I was speaking to you, and now even weeping I tell you, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:

that you should walk worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit and increasing in the full knowledge of God;

Epaphras greets you, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, always struggling for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and complete in all the will of God.

that you would make your walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

Finally then, brothers, we request of you and exhort [you] in the Lord Jesus, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you should abound more.

For you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

not embezzling, but showing good faith, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore we also pray always concerning you that our God may count you worthy of [this] calling, and may fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power,

who having saved us, and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time [itself],

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus Christ,

not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called for this purpose, that you may inherit a blessing.

But may the God of all grace, the [One] having called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little [while], may He Himself make you complete--He will establish, strengthen, [and] firmly ground [you].

As His divine power has granted to us all things [pertaining] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
