So then, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be courageous, be strong.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Only conduct yourselves worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,

Because now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.

So then, brothers, stand fast and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our letter.

but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the boast of hope firm until [the] end.

For we have become partakers of Christ, if indeed we hold fast the beginning of the assurance firm until the end,

Therefore having a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has a great recompense.

"For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not delay.

But we are not of [those] shrinking back to destruction, but of faith, to the saving of the soul.

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you about our common salvation, it became necessary to write to you exhorting you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

keep yourselves in the love of God, anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

Only hold fast what you have till I come.

Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and by no means shall you know what hour I will come upon you.

For you, brothers were called to freedom; only do not use freedom for an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

and that was because of false brothers secretly brought in (who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might reduce us to slavery),

But after faith has come, we are no longer under a custodian.

but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

So then, brothers, we are not children of the servant girl, but of the free [woman].

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation; establish me with Your directing Spirit.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me; He has sent Me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind;

Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."

Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly I say to you, that everyone that practices sin is a slave of sin.

Therefore if the Son sets you free, you will be truly free.

For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

And having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

So then, while the husband is living, she will be called an adulteress if she becomes [married] to a different husband; but if her husband should die, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, having become [married] to a different husband.

But now we were released from the law, having died in [that] to which we were held fast, so that we should serve as slaves in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death.

For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord's free [man]. Likewise he who is called as a free [man] is Christ's slave.

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there is freedom.

as free, yet not using freedom as a cover for wickedness, but as bondservants of God.

promising to them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone has been defeated, by this [one] also he has been enslaved.

and that was because of false brothers secretly brought in (who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might reduce us to slavery),

But now, having known God, or rather, having been known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which once again you wish to be slaves?

For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay [them] on men's shoulders; but they do not desire to move them with their finger.

Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Therefore do not let anyone judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or of a new moon or of sabbaths,

Let no one rule against you, desiring [to do so] in [false] humility and in worship of the angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, in vain being puffed up by his carnal mind,

If you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you submit to regulations--

which things are all for corruption with the using, according to the commands and teaching of men?

the Holy Spirit signifying this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing,

[concerned] only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances which are imposed until a time of reformation.
