I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ."

But this I say, brothers, the time has been shortened; so that from now on even those having wives should be as though they had none,

What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything?

But this I say: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Now this I say lest anyone may deceive you with persuasive words.

In that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed I will give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.

And I will establish My covenant between you and your seed after you, to their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be your God, and the God of your seed after you.

And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land in which you sojourn, even all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession, and I will be to them a God.

And God said to Abraham, Yea, behold, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to him and to his seed after him.

"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people,

as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, who have been since the world began,

to perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,

to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear,

"And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,

through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came to be through Jesus Christ.

Your father Abraham rejoiced that he should see My day, and he saw it and he was glad."

Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins having previously occurred, in the forbearance of God,

For all the promises of God in Him [are] "Yes," and in Him "Amen," to the glory of God through us.

These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and welcoming [them], and confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, had offered up Isaac, and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten [son],

considering that even from the dead, God [was] able to raise [him up], from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ in them was revealing when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories which were to follow:

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to you they were ministering these things, which things were now announced to you by those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven--things which angels desire to look into.

having been foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, He was made manifest in these last times for you,

And it was said to Abram, You shall surely know that your decendants shall be sojourners in a land not their own, and they shall enslave them, and afflict them, and humble them four hundred years.

And the sojourning of the children of Israel, while they sojourned in the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan, was four hundred and thirty years.

And it came to pass after the four hundred and thirty years, all the forces of the Lord came forth out of the land of Egypt by night.

But God spoke in this way: that his offspring would dwell in a foreign land, and that they would enslave them, and they would treat them badly four hundred years.

Brothers, I speak in human fashion: A covenant is of a man, yet having been confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it.

[ 40:3] Do not set aside My judgment: and do you think that I have dealt with you in any other way, than that you might appear to be righteous?

For what the Holy God has purposed, who shall frustrate? And who shall turn back His uplifted hand?

except it also take away your covenant of death, and your trust in Hades shall by no means stand; if the rushing storm should come upon you, you shall be beaten down by it.

For on the one hand an annulment comes about of the preceding commandment on account of its weakness and uselessness.

Therefore, [is] the law against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

God is not as a man that He should waver, nor as a son of man that He should be threatened; shall He say and not perform? Shall He speak and not keep [His word]?

For the promise that he should be heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through [the] law, but through [the] righteousness of faith.

For if those who are of [the] law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise has been nullified,

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,

And so, after he had been patient, he obtained the promise.

Thus God, wanting to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His counsel, guaranteed it by an oath,

You have become estranged from Christ, you who are justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

But if her husband should straitly forbid [her] in the day in which he should hear her, none of her vows or obligations which she has contracted upon her soul shall stand, because her husband has disallowed her, and the Lord shall hold her guiltless.

The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; He brings to nought the reasonings of the people, and brings to nought the counsels of princes.

For what if some did not believe? [Surely] their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God?

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ should be deprived of its power.
