(for we walk by faith, not by sight),

For by this hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly await it with endurance.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to have the temporary pleasure of sin,

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king; for he endured as seeing the Unseen [One].

looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured [the] cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and discouraged in your souls.

"And these shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

And he shall offer the fat for the sin-offering on the altar.

And he that sends forth the goat that has been set apart to be let go, shall wash his garments, and bathe his body in water, and afterwards shall enter into the camp.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and a good hope by grace,

Because everything that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not from the Father but is from the world.

And the world is passing away, and its lust; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

And this is the promise which He Himself promised to you--eternal life.
