Because just as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.

Yes, we have had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,

And if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together, so that we may also be glorified together.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy [to be compared] with the coming glory to be revealed in us.
