And I pleaded with the Lord at that time, saying,

Lord God, You have begun to show to Your servant Your strength and Your power, and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm: for what God is there in heaven or on earth who will do as You have done, and according to Your might?
25
I will therefore go over and see this good land that is beyond the Jordan, this good mountain, and Lebanon.
26
And the Lord regarded me not because of you, and hearkened not to me; and the Lord said to me, Enough already, do not speak of this matter to Me anymore!
27
Go up to the top of the quarried rock, and look with your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold [it] with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan.

And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, [saying],

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be well pleased no more?

Will He cut off His mercy forever, even forever and ever?

Will God forget to pity? Or will He shut up His compassions in His wrath? Pause.

And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High.

I remembered the works of the Lord; for I will remember Your wonders from the beginning.
