For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty by God to the pulling down of strongholds,

casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,

This charge I commit to you, [my] son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that you may war by them the good warfare,

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called and have confessed the good confession before many witnesses.

You therefore endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

No one serving as a soldier entangles [himself] in the affairs of [civilian] life, in order that he may please the [one] having enlisted him.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gives the increase.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

And what man [is] [there] that has planted a vineyard, and not been made merry with it? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man be made merry with it.

He that plants a fig tree shall eat the fruits of it; so he that waits on his own master shall be honored.

My vineyard, even mine, is before me; Solomon [shall have] a thousand, and they that keep its fruit two hundred.

Therefore thus says the Lord against them that tend My people: You have scattered My sheep, and driven them out, and you have not visited them: behold, I [will] take vengeance upon you according to your evil practices.

And I will gather in the remnant of My people in every land, where I have driven them out, and will set them in their pasture; and they shall increase and be multiplied.

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, [son] of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I care for You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."

He said to him the third time, "Simon, [son] of Jonah, do you care for Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you care for Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I care for You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you [as] overseers, to shepherd the church of the Lord, and of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

shepherd the flock of God among you, overseeing not by compulsion, but rather willingly, not in fondness for dishonest gain, but rather eagerly;

My son, you have from me words very useful for your life, and for the life of your servants.

And it shall come to pass from their drinking an abundance of milk, [that] everyone that is left on the land shall eat butter and honey.
