And unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be cut short.

For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

Do you not say, 'There are still four months and the harvest comes'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

For in this the saying is true: 'One sows and another reaps.'

It is necessary for the hard-working farmer [to be] first to receive of the fruits.
