But brother goes to court against brother, and that before unbelievers!

But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she consents to live with him, let him not divorce her.

But if the unbelieving [spouse] separates, let [him or her] separate; the brother or the sister has not been bound in such cases; but God has called us to peace.

And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for the sake of whom Christ died?

But if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the assembly. But if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax collector.

And Ananias departed and entered the house; and putting his hands on him, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, the One who appeared to you in the way which you were coming, so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

Now I urge you, brothers, to look out for those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.

But we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother living in idleness, and not according the tradition which they received from us.

Now if anyone does not obey our word in this letter, take note of him, and do not associate with him, that he may be ashamed.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, and do not greet him;

It is actually heard that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even named among the Gentiles--that a man has his father's wife!

For I indeed, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has done this deed in this way,

deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, in order that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Purge out the old leaven, in order that you may be a new batch of dough, since you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to associate with fornicators.

But to the sinner God has said, Why do you declare My ordinances, and take up My covenant in your mouth?

If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers.

You sat and spoke against your brother, and scandalized your mother's son.

For I am afraid, lest perhaps when I come, I will not find you as I desire, and that I will be found by you as you do not desire; lest perhaps there [be] contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, disputes, slanders, gossipings, pride, disorders;

lest, when I come again, my God will humble me before you, and I will mourn for many who have previously sinned and have not repented for the impurity and fornication and lewdness which they practiced.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: adultery, fornication, immorality, lewdness,

envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

For this is [the] will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication,

not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God,

For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

But I have a few things against you, because you have there [some] who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, both to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.

But I have [this] against you, that you tolerate your wife Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols.

But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and sinners, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and drug users, and idolaters, and all who are false shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

But outside are dogs and drug users and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices a lie.

Because the sinner praises himself for the desires of his heart; and the unjust one blesses himself.

For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

And he reasoned within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, because I have nowhere to gather my crops?'

And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid away for many years; relax; eat, drink, and be merry."'

So [is] he who accumulates treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

Life is more than food, and the body is [more] than clothing.

And which of you [by] worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.

And do not seek what you may eat or what you may drink, and do not be anxious.

But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

For this you know, that no fornicator, or unclean person, nor covetous person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.

not given to wine, not a bully, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not loving money;

But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many senseless and harmful lusts which sink men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some [by] aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

having eyes full of adultery and unable to cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart having been trained in greediness, they are accursed children.

They have left behind the straight way and gone astray, having followed after the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Nor be idolaters, just as some of them; as it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."

Nor let us commit fornication, just as some of them fornicated, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell;

Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

Look at Israel according to the flesh: are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

[No], but that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not desire that you should have fellowship with demons.

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

nor covetous, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor abusive people, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Him that secretly speaks against his neighbor, him have I driven from [me]; he that is proud in look and insatiable in heart- with him I have not eaten.

For when you eat, each one takes first his own supper, and one goes hungry and another is drunk!

"and should begin to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

and he will cut him in two, and will appoint his share with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

But if that servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk,

the master of that servant will come on a day which he does not expect, and at an hour which he does not know, and he will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

"But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, and that Day come upon you unexpectedly.

Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in orgies and debaucheries, not in strife and jealousy.

For before certain [men] came from James, he would eat together with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to draw back and began to separate himself, fearing those of the circumcision party.

And do not get drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those getting drunk, are drunk at night.

But we, since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.

In you they have received gifts to shed blood; they have received in you interest and usurious increase; and by oppression you have brought your wickedness to the full, and have forgotten Me, says the Lord.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and unrighteousness.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men--swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

But those who are outside God will judge. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

constant wranglings of men of corrupt minds and having been deprived of the truth, supposing that godliness is a means of profit. Withdraw from such [people].
