For we are coworkers with God; you are God's field, you are God's building.

According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, but another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.

I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I admonish [you].

For though you might have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet [you do] not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

Who ever serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink from the milk of the flock?

For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it threshes." Is it oxen God is concerned about?

If we have sown spiritual things for you, [is it] a great thing if we reap your material things?

Now I made known to you, brothers, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Thereafter He appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

But because they were opposing and blaspheming, he shook off his clothes and said to them, "Your blood [be] on your [own] heads; I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."

And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, were believing and were being baptized.

for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you; for I have many people in this city."

For we are not overextending ourselves, as though our authority did not reach to you, for it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ;

not boasting beyond the limits in the labors of others, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you according to our sphere [of influence],

Every sincere soul is blessed, but a passionate man is not graceful.

Now a certain Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, an eloquent man being mighty in the Scriptures, had arrived in Ephesus.

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. And when Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

And when he desired to go across to Achaia, having urged him on, the brothers wrote to the disciples [there] to receive him; and when he arrived, he assisted greatly with those who had believed through grace;

And it came about, while Apollos was in Corinth, that Paul, having gone through the interior regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples

But from Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than them all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

But the sons of men are vain; the sons of men are false, so as to be deceitful in the balances; they are all alike, [formed] out of vanity.

God has spoken once, [and] I have heard these two things, that power is of God;

They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

that the Lord my God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in Him.

A Song of Degrees. Except the Lord build the house, they that build labor in vain: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman watches in vain.

For as the rain shall come down, or snow from heaven, and shall not return until it has saturated the earth, and it bring forth and bud, and give seed to the sower, and bread for food;

so shall My word be, whatever shall proceed out of My mouth, it shall by no means return to Me void, until all the things which I willed have been accomplished; and I will make your ways prosperous, and [will effect] My commands.

And as the earth putting forth her flowers, and as a garden its seed; so shall the Lord, [even] the Lord, cause righteousness to spring forth, and exaltation before all nations.

And hearing these things, they remained silent, and [they] glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted even to the Gentiles repentance unto life."

Now arriving and gathering the church together, they related all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith for the Gentiles.

And a certain woman named Lydia, a dealer of purple cloth of the city of Thyatira, who worshipped God, heard us, whose heart The Lord opened to give heed to the things spoken by Paul.

And having greeted them, he reported one by one those things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ did not work out through me, in word and deed, for the obedience of [the] Gentiles--

You are our letter, having been written in our hearts, being known and being read by all men;

And we have such trust through Christ toward God.

For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, just as you know what kind [of men] we were among you for your sake.
