And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.

If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or [is] spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I am writing to you are the commandments of the Lord.

Brothers, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness, looking out for yourself lest you also be tempted.

On account of this we also, since the day we heard, do not cease praying for you, and asking that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

And the woman said, If now the word of my lord the king be gracious,--[well]: for as an angel of God, so [is] my lord the king, to hear good and evil; and the Lord your God shall be with you.

Give therefore to Your servant a heart to hear and to judge Your people justly, and to discern between good and evil: for who will be able to judge this Your great people?

And the Lord said to him, Because you have asked this thing of Me, and have not asked for yourself long life, and have not asked wealth, nor have asked for the lives of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to hear judgment;

The Lord is the strength of them that fear Him; and His covenant is to manifest [truth] to them.

Evil men will not understand judgment, but they that seek the Lord will understand everything.

He that keeps the commandment shall not know an evil thing; and the heart of the wise knows the time of judgment.

If anyone desires to do His will, he will know about the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I am speaking on My own authority.

until we all arrive to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to [the] measure of [the] stature of the fullness of Christ;

that we may no longer be infants, being tossed as by waves, and being carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in regard to deceitful scheming,

that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

But test all things; hold fast that which is good.

But solid food is for the mature, for those because of their practice have their senses trained for the distinguishing of both good and evil.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

So then judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who also will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make clear the purposes of the hearts. Then each one's praise shall come from God.

And David inquired of God concerning the child, and David fasted, and went in and lay all night upon the ground.

And it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead; for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive we spoke to him, and he hearkened not to our voice; and should we tell him [now] that the child is dead?-- so would he do [himself] harm.

Then David rose up from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his clothes, and went into the house of God, and worshipped Him; and he went into his own house, and called for bread to eat, and they set bread before him and he ate.

And David said, While the child yet lived, I fasted and wept; for I said, Who knows if the Lord will pity me, and the child should live?

And certain men coming down from Judea were teaching the brothers, "If you are not circumcised in the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."

Therefore, being sent forth by the church, they were passing through Phoenicia and Samaria, telling in detail [about] the conversion of the Gentiles; and they were causing great joy to all the brothers.

But some of those from the sect of the Pharisees rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."

Paul desired this [Timothy] to go forth with him, and taking him, he circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was Greek.

But not even Titus who was with me, although he was a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised;

to whom not even for an hour did we yield in subjection, that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.
