And on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace to you."

And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been closed, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"

Now on the first [day] of the week, the disciples being assembled to break bread, Paul was discussing with them, being about to leave on the next day, and extended his message until midnight.

I was in [the] Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard a loud voice like a trumpet behind me,

And Isaac sowed in that land, and he found barley in that year, and reaped one hundred fold, and the Lord blessed him.

And Laban said to him, If I have found grace in your sight, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me at your coming in.

For what you had was little before my time, and it is increased to a multitude, and the Lord God has blessed you since my coming; now then, when shall I set up also my own house?

Let there be to me a sufficiency of all the justice and all the truth which You have wrought with Your servant; for with this my staff I passed over this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.

Receive my blessings, which I have brought you, because God has had mercy on me, and I have all things; and he urged him, and he took [them].

But you shall remember the Lord your God, that He gives you strength to get wealth; even that He may establish His covenant, which the Lord swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

For the poor shall not fail off your land, therefore I charge you to do this thing, saying, You shall surely open your hands to your poor brother, and to him that is distressed upon your land.

And when you shall send him out free from you, you shall not send him out empty.

And Azariah the priest, the chief over the house of Zadok, spoke to him, and said, From the time that the firstfruits began to be brought into the house of the Lord, we have eaten and drunk, and left even abundantly; for the Lord has blessed His people, and we have this great amount left.

[ 2:17] When you cast into the grain bin twenty measures of barley, and there were [only] ten measures of barley: and you went to the vat to draw out fifty measures, and there were [but] twenty.

[ 2:19] Set your hearts now [to think] from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth [day] of the ninth month, even from the day when the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid;

And you do surely look off from Me, and you insult Me.

The year is completed, and you have brought all the produce into the storehouses; but there shall be the plunder thereof in its house: return now on this behalf, says the Lord Almighty, [see] if I will not open to you the torrents of heaven, and pour out My blessing upon you, until you are satisfied.

And Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and was observing how the crowd was putting money into the treasury. And many rich [people] were putting in much.

And having summoned His disciples, He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who are putting into the treasury.

This [woman] did what she could; she undertook beforehand to anoint My body for burial.

He that [is] faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in what is least is also unjust in much.

Now we make known to you brothers, the grace of God which has been given to the churches of Macedonia,

For I bear witness that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing,

For if there is first a readiness, it is acceptable according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

but by way of equality, that now at the present time your abundance [may supply] their need, that their abundance also may supply your need, in order that there may be equality.

And now also complete doing [it]; that as indeed there [was] the readiness to desire [it], thus also there [may be] the completion from what you have.

And I have sent the brothers, lest our boasting about you lose its justification in this matter, that just as I said, you may be prepared,

Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brothers, that they should go before [me] to you, and should arrange in advance your generous gift, which you had previously promised, [that] this would be ready, thus as a blessing and not as grudgingly given.
