[ 3:18] And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat of it- of that you have eaten, cursed is the ground in your labors, in pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life.

[ 3:20] In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread until you return to the ground out of which you were taken, for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

Turn not man back to [his] low place, whereas You said, Return, you sons of men?

Years shall be vanity to them; let the morning pass away as grass.

For we have perished in Your anger, and in Your wrath we have been troubled.

For all our days are gone, and we have passed away in Your wrath; our years have spun out their tale as a spider.

Who knows the power of Your wrath?

The ungodly shall be driven away in his wickedness, but he who is secure in his own holiness is just.

Then Jesus said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come."

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins."

But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of one man many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to the many.

For if by the offense of the one man death reigned through the one [man], much more those receiving the abundance of the grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And just as it is appointed for men once to die, and after this judgment,

Now we know that as many things as the law says, it speaks to those under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by works of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight, for through the law [comes] [the] knowledge of sin.

because the law produces wrath; for where there is no law neither is there transgression.

(For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

But [the] law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded,

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions aroused through the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known lust unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

For I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, but I died.

For sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, deceived me, and by it, killed me.

Then has that which is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through that which is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

But the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."
