Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and blameless.

Husbands, likewise, live together according to knowledge as with a weaker vessel, with the wife, showing her honor as also a fellow heir of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.

let your women be silent in the churches, for it has not been permitted for them to speak, but to be in subjection, just as the law also says.

For if a woman is not covered, let her also have her hair cut. But if it is a shameful [thing] for a woman to have her hair cut, or to be shaved, let her be covered.

Does not nature itself teach you, that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?

For it is shameful even to speak of those things being done by them in secret.
