What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;

Why? Because [they did] not [seek it] by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled the stone of stumbling.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

For Christ is the end of [the] law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

Therefore, [is] the law against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

with respect to zeal, persecuting the church; with respect to righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

Therefore by works of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight, for through the law [comes] [the] knowledge of sin.

For if those who are of [the] law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise has been nullified,

because the law produces wrath; for where there is no law neither is there transgression.

What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained [it], and the rest were blinded.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

But that no one is justified by the law before God is evident, for "The just shall live by faith."

And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.

You have become estranged from Christ, you who are justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one [point], he has become guilty of all.

For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "You shall not murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but [yet] you murder, [then] you have become a transgressor of the law.
