Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.

every prayer, every supplication whatever shall be made by any man, as they shall know each the plague of his heart, and shall spread abroad his hands to this house,

I am wearied with my groaning; I shall wash my bed every night; I shall water my couch with tears.

Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.

For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. Pause.

For Your weapons are fixed in me, and You have pressed Your hand heavily upon me.

I have been afflicted and brought down exceedingly; I have roared for the groaning of my heart.

My heart is troubled, my strength has failed me; and the light of my eyes is not with me.

I remembered God, and rejoiced; I poured out my complaint, and my soul fainted. Pause.

I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient ears.

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be well pleased no more?

Will God forget to pity? Or will He shut up His compassions in His wrath? Pause.

My soul has longed exceedingly for Your judgments at all times.

My soul faints for Your salvation; I have hoped in Your words.

For I have become as a bottle in the frost; [yet] I have not forgotten Your statutes.

Afflictions and distresses found me; [but] Your commandments [were] my meditation.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I have not forgotten Your commandments.

A Song of Degrees. Out of the depths have I cried to You, O Lord.

If You, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

and said to him, Go through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that groan and that grieve for all the iniquities that are done in the midst of them.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

And lest I exalt myself above measure by the excellence of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, that it might beat me, lest I exalt myself above measure.

And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

And He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying out; neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away."

And the young woman has not [committed] a sin worthy of death; as if a man should rise up against his neighbor, and slay him, so [is] this thing;

because he found her in the field; the betrothed young woman cried, and there was none to help her.

saying, God has forsaken him: persecute him, and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].

For He has delivered the poor from the oppressor; and the needy who had no helper.

For he has hoped in Me, and I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he has known My name.

He shall call upon Me, and I will hearken to him; I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.

to hear the groaning of the fettered ones, to loosen the sons of the slain;

He will return and have mercy upon us; He will sink our iniquities, and they shall be cast into the depth of the sea, even all our sins.

And you, by the blood of your covenant, have sent forth your prisoners out of the waterless pit.

You shall dwell in strongholds, you prisoners of the congregation: and for one day of your captivity I will recompense you double.

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;

For we do not desire you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

who delivered us from so great a death, and is delivering [us]; in whom we trust that He will still deliver [us],

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people as [His] own possession, zealous for good works.

and that He might set free these, as many as by fear of death through all of their lives, were subject to bondage.

knowing this, that our old man was crucified [with Him], so that the body of sin may be done away with, [that] we should no longer serve sin.

For if you live according to the flesh you shall die; but if by [the] Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.

free among the dead, as the slain ones cast out, who sleep in the tomb; whom You remember no more; and they are rejected from Your hand.

In whom you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by the putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
