Do you have faith? By yourself, have it before God. Blessed is he that does not condemn himself in what he approves.

Consequently, you bear witness to and approve of the deeds of your fathers; because they indeed killed them, but you build their tombs.

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The Lord is good to them that wait on Him in the day of affliction; and He knows them that reverence Him.

Nevertheless the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those that are His," and, "Let everyone naming the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."

But if I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that [it is] good.

For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, this I practice.

But if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I [who] am doing it, but the sin dwelling in me.

[If it be] that they shall sin against You, (for there is not a man who will not sin) and You shall bring them and deliver them up before their enemies, and they that take [them] captive shall carry [them] to a land far or near,

Who will understand [his] transgressions? Purge me from my secret [sins].

The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but You pardon our sins.

Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

For they that work iniquity have not walked in His ways.

O that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes.

For there is not a righteous man in the earth who will do good, and not sin.

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things oppose each other, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

Not that I have already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I press on, if also I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

For we all stumble in many [ways]. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

If we claim that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

[Let] love [be] without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.

He devises iniquity on his bed; he gives himself to every evil way; and does not abhor evil.

You that love the Lord, hate evil; the Lord preserves the souls of His saints; He shall deliver them from the hand of sinners.

I have not set before my eyes any unlawful thing; I have hated transgressors.

I gain understanding by Your commandments; therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.

I have hated transgressors; but I have loved Your law.

Therefore I directed myself [according] to all Your commandments; I have hated every unjust way.

I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love Your law.

The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, insolence, pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.

A righteous man hates an unjust word, but an ungodly man is ashamed, and will have no confidence.

We have hated evil, and loved good; restore judgment in the gates, so that the Lord God Almighty may have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your companions."

but others save with fear, snatching them out of the fire, hating even the garment having been stained by the flesh.
