And I, behold! My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of a many nations.

And your name shall no longer be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.

And I will bless her, and give you a son by her, and I will bless him, and he shall become nations, and kings of nations shall be of him.

And concerning Ishmael, behold, I have heard you, and behold, I have blessed him, and will increase him and multiply him exceedingly; twelve nations shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

And Abraham again took a wife, whose name was Keturah.

And Jokshan begot Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were the Assurians, the Letushim, and the Leummim.

But Abraham gave all his possessions to Isaac his son.

And these [were] the years of the days of the life of Abraham, as many as he lived, one hundred and seventy-five years.

And Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him in the double cave, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is over against Mamre,

And it came to pass after Abraham was dead, that God blessed Isaac his son, and Isaac dwelt by the Well of the Vision.

And these are the names of the sons of Ismael, according to the names of their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael [was] Nabajoth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

Hadar, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, one hundred and thirty-seven years; and he breathed his last and died, and was added to his fathers.

And these are the generations of Isaac the son of Abraham:

Now Isaac prayed to the Lord concerning Rebecca his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord heard him, and his wife Rebecca conceived in her womb.

And the Lord said to her, There are two nations in your womb, and two peoples shall be separated from your body, and one people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger.

And the first came out red, hairy all over like a garment; and she called his name Esau.

And the lads grew, and Esau was a man skilled in hunting, dwelling in the country, and Jacob a simple man, dwelling in a house.

And Jacob cooked a stew, and Esau came from the plain, and he [was] weary.

And Jacob said to Esau, Sell me this day your birthright.

And Jacob said to him, Swear to me this day; and he swore to him; and Esau sold his birthright to Jacob.

And may my God bless you, and increase you, and multiply you, and you shall become an assembly of nations.

Therefore even from one [man] they were begotten, and him as good as dead, just as the stars of the sky in multitude, and innumerable as the sand by the seashore.

Or is He the God of the Jews only? But is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, also of Gentiles,

For if Abraham was justified by works, he has [grounds for] boasting, but not before God.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit indwelling in you.

and do not think to say among yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones.

For as the Father raises up the dead and gives life, thus also the Son gives life to whom He wills.

Most assuredly I say to you, that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those having heard shall live.

It is the Spirit who makes alive; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Thus also it is written, "The first man Adam [became] a living soul;" the last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit.

And you [He made alive], being dead in transgressions and sins,

among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the senses, and were by nature children of wrath, as also the rest.

even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

I charge you before God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,

Because whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

"And it shall be in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' there they shall be called sons of the living God."

I will say to the north, Bring; and to the south, Keep not back; bring My sons from the [land] afar off, and My daughters from the ends of the earth;

Who is like Me? Let him stand, and call, and declare, and prepare for Me from the time that I made man forever; and let them tell you the things that are coming before they arrive.

Behold, these shall come from far; [and] these from the north and the west, and others from the land of the Persians.

For you shall go forth with joy, and shall be taught with gladness; for the mountains and the hills shall exalt to welcome you with joy, and all the trees of the field shall applaud with their branches.

"Known from everlasting to God are all His works.

And the base things of the world, and the things having been despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, in order that He might nullify the things which are,

By faith Noah, having being warned [By God] concerning the things not yet seen, being reverent, prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, through which he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

who formerly [were] not a people but now [are the] people of God, who had not received mercy, but now have received mercy.

But in this let it not escape your notice, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
