And his brothers said to him, Shall you indeed reign over us, or shall you indeed be lord over us? And they hated him all the more for his dreams and for his words.

And he dreamed another dream, and told it to his father, and to his brothers, and said, Behold, I have dreamed another dream: and this time, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars bowed down to me.

Now then come, let us kill him, and cast him into one of the pits; and we will say, An evil wild beast has devoured him; and we shall see what his dreams will be.

And Joseph charged the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put the money of each in the mouth of his sack.

The morning dawned, and the men were sent away, they and their donkeys.

Why have you stolen my silver cup? Is it not this out of which my lord drinks? And he practices divination with it. You have accomplished evil in that which you have done.

And they said to him, Why does our lord speak according to these words? Far be it from your servants to do according to this word!

With whomever of your servants you shall find the cup, let him die; and moreover, we will be servants to our lord.

And they made haste, and took down every man his sack on the ground, and they opened every man's sack.

And they tore their clothes, and laid each man's sack on his donkey, and returned to the city.

And they came to him and said, We, these [persons], are your servants.

You took counsel against me for evil, but God took counsel for me for good, that the matter might be as it is today, and many people might be fed.

But I know that Pharaoh king of Egypt will not let you go, except by a mighty hand;

And it was reported to the king of the Egyptians that the people had fled. And the heart of Pharaoh was turned, and that of his servants against the people; and they said, What is this that we have done, to let the children of Israel go, so that they should not serve us?

So the Lord delivered Israel in that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead by the shore of the sea.

For thus the Lord commanded me by [His] word, saying, Eat not bread there, and drink not water, and return not by the way in which you came.

And he said to him, I also am a prophet as you [are]; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back to you into your house, and let him eat bread and drink water; but he lied to him.

And [the prophet] that turned him back out of the road heard, and said, This is the man of God who rebelled against the word of the Lord.

And he went and found the body cast in the road, and the donkey and the lion were standing by the body. And the lion had not devoured the body of the man of God, and had not torn the donkey.

and they mourned over him, [saying], Alas, brother.

For the word will surely come to pass which he spoke by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against the high houses in Samaria.

And Elisha said, Go, say, You shall certainly live; yet the Lord has showed me that he shall surely die.

And Hazael said, Why does my lord weep? And he said, Because I know all the evil that you will do to the children of Israel: you will utterly destroy their strongholds with fire, and you will slay their choice men with the sword, and you will dash their infants [against the ground], and their women with child you will rip up.

And he departed from Elisha, and went in to his master; and he said to him, What did Elisha say to you? And he said, He said to me, You shall surely live.

Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you that on this night, before [the] rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."

Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, "You also were with Jesus of Galilee."

And when he had gone out to the gateway, another [girl] saw him and said to them there, "This [man] was with Jesus the Nazarene."

And after a little [while], those standing by came up and said to Peter, "Surely you also are one of them, for your accent gives you away."

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus which He said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." And going out, he wept bitterly.

You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who has [ever] resisted His will?"

But indeed, O man, who are you to [be] answering back against God? Surely the thing formed will not say to him who formed it, "Why did you made me like this?"

I will send My wrath against a sinful nation, and I will command My people to take plunder and spoil, and to trample the cities, and to make dust out of them.

But he does not mean so, neither did he devise thus in his heart; but his mind shall change, and [that] to destroy nations not a few.

Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you took, and by lawless hands, nailing [Him] to a cross, you killed [Him];

For those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor the voices of the Prophets which are being read according to each Sabbath, condemning [him], they fulfilled [the Scriptures].

And when they finished all the things having been written about Him, taking Him down from the tree, they put [Him] in a tomb.
