For what if some did not believe? [Surely] their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God?

I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know [what the Scripture says] in Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

For if their casting away means reconciliation [for the] world, what will their acceptance be, if not life from the dead?

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in [among] them, and became a partaker of the root and of the fatness of the olive tree,

You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in."

For if God did not spare the natural branches, perhaps He may not spare you either.

And they also, if they do not remain in unbelief, shall be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

and know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law,

who are Israelites, of whom are the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the law-giving, and the worship, and the promises;

For what manner of nation [is so] great, which has God so near to them as the Lord our God [is] in all things in whatsoever we may call upon Him?

And what manner of nation [is so] great, which has righteous statutes and judgments according to all this law, which I set before you this day?

Also You came down upon Mount Sinai, and You spoke to them out of heaven, and gave them right judgments, and laws of truth, ordinances, and good commandments.

And You made known to them Your holy Sabbath; You enjoined upon them commandments, and ordinances, and a law, by the hand of Your servant Moses.

They were not hid from their children to a second generation; [the fathers] declaring the praises of the Lord, and His mighty acts, and His wonders which He has done.

that another generation might know, even the sons which should be born; and they should arise and declare them to their children.

He sends His word to Jacob, His ordinances and judgments to Israel.

He has not done so to any [other] nation; and He has not shown them His judgments.

For He has given the law for a help, that they should not speak according to this word, concerning which there are no gifts to give for it.

And I gave them My commandments, and made known to them My ordinances, all which [if] a man shall do, he shall even live in them.

And I gave them My Sabbaths, that they should be for a sign between Me and them, that they should know that I am the Lord that sanctifies them.

Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.'

But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded should one rise from the dead.'"

You search the Scriptures, because you think [that] in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about Me.

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

And we have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed, as a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;

for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being brought along by [the] Holy Spirit.

And I fell before his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See [that you do] not! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I have been entrusted with a commission.

that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning their transgressions to them, and committing to us the word of this reconciliation.

but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted [with] the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter [with the gospel] for the circumcised,

O Timothy! Guard that which was committed to your trust, turning away from the profane and empty babblings and opposing views of what is falsely called "knowledge,"

which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,

Your word [has been] very fully tried; and Your servant loves it.

But I will tell you that which is ordained in the scripture of truth; and there is no one that holds with me in these matters but Michael your prince.

This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai, and [with] our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us,

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

For indeed, although you ought to be teachers by this time, again you have need [for someone] to teach you what are the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

If anyone speaks, [let him speak] as the utterances of God. If anyone serves, [let him serve] as from strength, as God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture comes about [from] one's own interpretation,

for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being brought along by [the] Holy Spirit.

Then he said to me, "These words are faithful and true." And [the] Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must happen quickly.
