For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in flesh;

but he [is] a Jew that [is one] inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.

What then [is] the superiority of the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?

Much in every way! First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had while] in uncircumcision, so that he should be the father of all those that believe, although uncircumcised, so that righteousness should also be imputed to them,

and the father of circumcision to those not only of circumcision, but also to those following in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham [had while] in uncircumcision.

And the Lord shall purge your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

Circumcise yourselves to your God, and circumcise your hardness of heart, you men of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My wrath go forth as fire, and burn, and there be none to quench it, because of the evil of your devices.

And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.

For we by the Spirit eagerly await [for] the hope of righteousness by faith.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but a new creation.

Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made by hands in the flesh--

that at that time you were apart from Christ, being estranged from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, not having hope and atheists in the world.

You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God through the transgression of the law?

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will visit upon all the circumcised their uncircumcision:

on Egypt, Edom, Edom, on the children of Ammon, on the children of Moab, and everyone that shaves his face round about, [even] them that dwell in the wilderness; for all the Gentiles are uncircumcised in flesh, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised [in] their hearts.

"You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, you also do.
