For indeed circumcision profits if you keep the law; but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

And now, O Israel, hear the statutes and judgments, [hear] all that I teach you this day to do, that you may live, and be multiplied, and that you may go in and inherit the land, which the Lord God of your fathers gives to you.

And Moses called all Israel, and said to them, Hear, O Israel, the ordinances and statutes, all that I speak in your ears this day, and you shall learn them, and observe to do them.

Therefore hear, O Israel, and observe to do them, that it may be well with you, and that you may be greatly multiplied, as the Lord God of your fathers said that He would give you a land flowing with milk and honey. And these [are] the statutes and the judgments, which the Lord commanded the children of Israel in the wilderness, when they had gone forth from the land of Egypt.

It is not in heaven above, [as if there were one] saying, Who shall go up for us into heaven, and shall take it for us, and we will hear and do it?

The word is very near you, in your mouth, and in your heart, and in your hands, to do it.

And I gave them My commandments, and made known to them My ordinances, all which [if] a man shall do, he shall even live in them.

And [as for] you, son of man, the children of your people are they that speak concerning you by the walls, and in the porches of the houses, and they talk one to another, saying, Let us come together, and let us hear the [words] that proceed from the Lord.

And you are to them as a sound of a sweet, well-tuned psaltery, and they will hear your words, but they will not do them.

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

"And then I will confess to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you who work iniquity!'

and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and fell against that house; and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.

But He answered and said to them, "My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it."

But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of [man] he was.

If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of Him.

Little children, let no one deceive you. The [one] who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

Therefore by works of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight, for through the law [comes] [the] knowledge of sin.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

For Moses writes about the righteousness which [is] of the law, "That the man who does those things shall live by them."

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

So he answered and said, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'"

But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

But that no one is justified by the law before God is evident, for "The just shall live by faith."

But the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."

since there is one God who will justify [the] circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

For if Abraham was justified by works, he has [grounds for] boasting, but not before God.

Now to him who works, the reward is not accounted according to grace but according to debt.

And enter not into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight shall no [man] living be justified.

I say to you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted."

and from all things from which you could not (by the Law of Moses) be justified, by Him everyone that believes is justified.

knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by [the] faith of Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by [the] faith of Christ and not by [the] works of the law; because no flesh shall be justified by [the] works of the law.

You have become estranged from Christ, you who are justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called a friend of God.

Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by means of works, when she received the messengers and sent [them] out another way?
