It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor [to do anything] by which your brother stumbles or is offended or becomes weak.

And not weakening in faith, he did not consider his own body, already having been worn out (being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb,

We then who are strong are obligated to bear with the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Therefore receive one another, just as also Christ received you, to [the] glory of God.

For seeing you have instructed many, and have strengthened the hands of the weak one,

Be strong, you relaxed hands and feeble knees.

Comfort one another, you fainthearted; be strong, fear not; behold, our God renders judgment, and He will render [it]; He will come and save us.

He shall tend His flock as a shepherd, and He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and He shall soothe them that are with young.

A bruised reed he shall not break, and smoking flax he shall not quench; but he shall bring forth judgment to truth.

The weak one you have not strengthened, and the sick you have not cherished, and the bruised you have not bound up, and the stray one you have not turned back, and the lost you have not sought; and the strong you have wearied with labor.

I will seek that which is lost, and I will recover the stray one, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen the fainting, and will guard the strong, and will feed them with judgment.

For behold, I will raise up a shepherd against the land: he shall not visit that which is perishing, and he shall not seek that which is scattered, and he shall not heal that which is bruised, nor guide that which is whole: but he shall devour the flesh of the choice ones, and shall dislocate the joints of their necks.

A bruised reed He shall not break, and a smoldering wick He shall not quench, till He bring forth justice to victory;

And immediately, Jesus reaching out His hand, laid hold of him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone be hanged on his neck, and he be drowned in the depth of the sea.

"See that you do not despise one of these little [ones], for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

It would be better for him if a millstone were around his neck, and he be cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.

I gave you milk to drink, and not solid food; for you were not yet able [to receive it]. Indeed, neither are you now yet able;

However, this knowledge is not in all [people]; rather some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as [something] offered to idols; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.

And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for the sake of whom Christ died?

Wherefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will by no means eat meat, lest I cause my brother to stumble.

to the weak I became as weak, in order that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some.

Therefore receive one another, just as also Christ received you, to [the] glory of God.

"He that receives you receives Me, and he that receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

And whoever gives one of these little [ones] only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

And whoever receives one such little child in My name, receives Me.

Most assuredly I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me."

Receive him therefore in the Lord with the utmost joy, and hold such [ones] in honor;

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, and do not greet him;

We therefore ought to receive such, in order that we may become fellow workers with the truth.

On account of this, if I come, I will call to mind his works which he does, slandering us with evil words. And not being content with that, he does not receive the brothers, and hinders those who desire to, casting them out of the church.
