You shall not associate with the multitude for evil. You shall not join yourself with a multitude to turn aside with the majority so as to shut out judgment.

For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, the souls that do them shall be destroyed from among their people.

And you shall keep My ordinances, that you may not do any of the abominable practices, which have taken place before your time; and you shall not be polluted in them; for I [am] the Lord your God.

And when you shall have entered into the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

You shall be perfect before the Lord your God.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify about it, that its works are evil.

I will no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine on them.

Do not become unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what participation is there for righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion is there for light with darkness?

And what union is there for the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: "I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

in which you once walked according to the age of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit which is now working in the sons of disobedience,

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

who, having become callous, gave themselves over to debauchery, for the working of uncleanness with utmost greediness.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and [the] Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world is constituted an enemy of God.

as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves [after] the former lusts, [as you did in] your ignorance;

knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your futile way of life handed down from your forefathers,

that he no longer should live the remaining time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

through which have been given to us precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through these we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

For if having escaped from the corruptions of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, yet by these, having become entangled they are defeated, the latter end has become worse for them than the first.

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

And the world is passing away, and its lust; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Do not marvel, my brothers, if the world hates you.

You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

They are of the world: on account of this they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies [under the sway] of the evil [one].

And the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And all those who dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose name is not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for [its] lusts.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a steadfast spirit in my inward parts.

Cast away from yourselves all your ungodliness in which you have sinned against Me; and make to yourselves a new heart and a new spirit: for why should you die, O house of Israel?

And I will give you a new heart, and will put a new spirit in you: and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.

the eyes of your heart having been enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

that you put off, concerning your former way of life, the old man which is being corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,

and that you put on the new man which was created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness.

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach before Him--

and have put on the new man who is renewed in full knowledge according to the image of Him who created it,

not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, [which is] your intelligent service.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who hopes in Him.

proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord.

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord [is].

if indeed you tasted that the Lord is good.

Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, [which is] your intelligent service.

Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good.

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, having been sold under sin.

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting souls; the testimony of the Lord is faithful, instructing babes.

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, [and] justified altogether.

For Your servant keeps to them; in the keeping of them [there is] great reward.

And I meditated on Your commandments, which I loved exceedingly.

And I lifted up my hands to Your commandments which I loved; and I meditated in Your statutes.

The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of [coins of] gold and silver.

How I have loved Your law, O Lord! It is my meditation all the day.

How sweet are Your oracles to my taste! More so than honey to my mouth!

Therefore I directed myself [according] to all Your commandments; I have hated every unjust way.

I have longed after Your salvation, O Lord; and Your law is my meditation.

[My] son, forget not my laws, but let your heart keep my words:

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; but bind them about your neck:

Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, and the mortal who knows prudence.

And she is more valuable than precious stones: no evil thing shall resist her. She is well known to all that approach her, and no precious thing is equal to her in value.

Her ways are good ways, and all her paths are peaceful.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth,

Epaphras greets you, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, always struggling for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and complete in all the will of God.

For this is [the] will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication,

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.
