And you shall leave in Israel seven thousand men, all the knees which had not bowed themselves to Baal, and every mouth which had not worshipped him.

And Israel consecrated themselves to Baal of Peor; and the Lord was very angry with Israel.

Your eyes have seen all that the Lord our God did in Baal Peor; for every man that went after Baal of Peor, the Lord your God has utterly destroyed him from among you.

And they provoked the Lord, and forsook Him, and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.

According to the word of Ephraim he adopted ordinances for himself in Israel; and he established them for Baal, and died.

And I will stretch out My hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will remove the names of Baal out of this place, and the names of the priests;
